1. 荒々しい歪みの王道：Marshall JCM2000

JCM2000はパワフルな歪みが魅力ですが、多機能ゆえに「音がこもる」「アンサンブルで埋もれる」という落とし穴があります。

◆ 真空管を守る「30秒の作法」

最高のレスポンスを引き出すには、電源の入れ方が肝心です。

  • ONの手順： MAINS（赤）をONにしてから、最低30秒待って STANDBYをONにします。

  • OFFの手順： STANDBYを先に切り、1分ほど置いてからMAINSを切ります。

1. The King of Roar: Marshall JCM2000 (DSL Series)

The JCM2000 is loved for its aggressive British high-gain, but it can be tricky to sit right in a band mix.

◆ The “30-Second Rule” for Tube Longevity

To ensure the best tone and protect the vacuum tubes, please follow this power-on sequence:

  1. Turn on the MAINS (Red switch).

  2. Wait at least 30 seconds to 2 minutes to let the tubes warm up.

  3. Flip the STANDBY switch to ON.

    Reverse the process when powering down (Standby OFF first, then Mains).

◆ “Deep” & “Tone Shift” – Use with Caution

  • Deep Switch: Adds a massive low-end boost. Great for solo practice, but often clashes with the Bass guitar in a band. Keep it OFF for a tighter band mix.

  • Tone Shift: Scoops the mids for a “metal” sound. While cool for heavy riffing, keeping it OFF will help your lead guitar cut through the mix.

The JC-120 is incredibly transparent, which can sometimes result in a “harsh” treble.

  • The Golden Ratio: Treble: 4 / Middle: 6 / Bass: 5

  • BRI (Bright) Switch: Generally, keep this OFF. Only turn it on if your guitar sounds too dark or muddy.

◆ Pro Tip: Use the “Low” Input for Pedals

If your distortion pedals sound too “fizzy” or sharp, try plugging into the Low Input. This pads the input signal, resulting in a smoother, more tube-like response from your pedals.
